About me!
I'm from a small town in East Texas where sweet potato farming and cattle ranching and keep the town afloat.
I went to a public school from Pre-K to 12th grade all under one roof, and graduated valedictorian in a class of 51.
I went to college intending to eventually become a lawyer, but I quickly decided I wanted a career that didn't keep me stuck at a desk, allowed me to meet new people and taught me something new every day.
I found broadcast-journalism and haven't looked back since.
Through the past four years I've been able to be a part of an Emmy Award winning team for a documentary following the 1998 Arkansas women's final four team, interview Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall, cover March Madness courtside in San Francisco and become a nationally recognized on-air talent --- and this is just the tip of the iceberg!
As I graduate with my Master's of Journalism this May, I look forward to the opportunities to further my success in this career field.
